Position: IT Doctor (IT Consultant)
Primary Job Requirements, Duties and Responsibilities:
Must have thorough work experience in the installation, implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting of the following operating systems and server based applications:
- Microsoft:
- Windows 98/Millenium/2000/XP/Vista
- Windows Server 2000/2003
- Windows SBS 2000/2003
- Windows Terminal Server
- Exchange Server (2000, 2003 & 2007)
- Microsoft SQL Server 6.5/7/2000/2005, Pervasive SQL Server
- Citrix:
- Metaframe
- Presentation Server
Experience Needed:
- Thorough working knowledge in the installation implementation, and troubleshooting of: Routers, Firewalls, Switches, VOIP, VPN's, QOS
- Thorough working knowledge of network fundamentals and protocols (such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Profile Management)
- Must be able to analyze an organization's business needs and then the related design, implementation and maintenance of the network infrastructure to support those business needs
- Design and manage an organization's LAN and WAN
- Strong understanding of troubleshooting networking problems, such as network switching, routing, network protocols, program scripts, batch files and authentication
- Hardware and software support, Windows desktop systems Vista/2000/XP
- Administration and integration ACT, QuickBooks
- Updating antivirus programs; Desktop and Enterprise antivirus solutions: Symantec
- Blackberry and PDA's experience
- Network Backup Solutions
- Common RAID levels (0,1,5): creation, management, and troubleshooting
- Printer installation and maintenance
- Be open minded to flexible solutions and have the initiative to engage in process and technology enhancements
- Have strong overall troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering field is preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Have MCSE certification (or equivalent work experience)
- Be a strong team player with a positive attitude and be committed to the success of the overall team
- Have strong written and oral communication skills
- Have good interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation
- Have automobile and be willing to travel throughout tri-state area via automobile and/or public transportation when necessary
- Stay current with technology and industry news
